Charlize Theron stars as Libby Day, whose whole family was murdered when she was 8, in the new film adaptation of Gillian Flynn's Dark Places. The film also stars Chloe Grace Moretz, Christina Hendricks, Drea de Matteo, and Nicholas Hoult (apparently Mad Max wasn't enough for Theron and Hoult?). The film releases nationwide August 7.

Remember when footage circulated earlier this year of Will Ferrell throwing a basketball at a cheerleaders head at an actual NBA game? Well we finally have our first trailer for that much-anticipated movie. Mark Walhberg and Will Ferrell try to one-up each other to be the best dad in Daddy's Home. Ferrell plays Brad, a mild-mannered step-dad to Dusty's (Wahlberg's) kids. Daddy’s Home opens on Christmas Day. Take a look at the trailer below. If you're looking for a good cry this weekend, may we present to you the trailer for Boulevard, Robin Williams' last on-screen role.
Williams, who took his life last August at the age of 63, plays Nolan Mack, a married man in a monotonous job, who must confront his life and sexuality head-on when he meets a young male hustler (Roberto Aguire). The film also stars Kathy Baker and Bob Odenkirk, and is directed by Dito Montiel. The trailer would be emotional by itself, but with lines like "Maybe it's never too late to finally start living the life you really want", it takes our emotions to a whole new level. This is the last time audiences will see Williams in a new role, although he voices the character in the upcoming comedy Absolutely Anything, due out next year. Boulevard will be in theatres July 10. This movie looks all sorts of crazy. Why Kristen Wiig and Will Ferrell are doing a Lifetime movie we may never know. What we do know is that together it's impossible for them to do any wrong, and therefore we must trust in this creative choice they have made. The movie premieres Sunday June 20th at 8pm on Lifetime.
The first international trailer for the upcoming biopic Queen of the Desert was released earlier today.
Nicole Kidman is the Queen herself, playing historian/archeologist/globetrotter/secret-service agent/badass bitch Gertrude Bell, and Werner Herzog wrote and directed. Kidman is joined by Robert Pattinson, Damian Lewis and James franco. The story follows Bell, a woman who shaped the history of the Middle East during the 1920s, leaving a legacy that lasts to today. There is no release date yet.
The new red band trailer for the upcoming Patrick Brice film, The Overnight, is here.
Adam Scott and Taylor Schilling star as a couple new to LA who try to make friends with Jason Schwartzman and Judith Godreche, but end up at a raunchy sleepover. It's awkward and amazing and just all-in-all fucking fantastic looking. We hope more than anything that this is our face for most of the movie. The movie (based on the bestselling novel) will release later this year. Directed by Ridley Scott and adapted from Andy Weir's bestselling novel, The Martian follows Matt Damon as Mark Watney, an astronaut who is stranded on Mars. The star-studded cast includes Jessica Chastain, Kristen Wiig, Kate Mara, Michael Pena, Jeff Daniels, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Donald Glover. It is being considered one of the most highly anticipated films of the year (I personally can't wait to see it). Watch the full trailer here. |
