We’re down to Kimmy, Wentworth, Keith, Jeremy, Tasha and Spencer. At this point I think Wentworth, Spencer and Jeremy have played the game hardest, in that order, and deserve the million. Keith is a strong player, but he doesn’t really play the game. And Tasha and Kimmy are pointless.
Tonight jumped straight into immunity, and I don’t know if I’ve ever seen contestants more exhausted by the final stage of the challenge. Spencer ended up taking his third win.
There was a TON of talk before the first tribal council, and then at council, Spencer said outright how people were voting with him and how if you weren’t onboard they’d be going to rocks. We had no idea how this tribal was going to go. Wentworth AND Jeremy played their hidden immunity idols so THREE of six people were immune from the vote. Which was the smartest thing to do since they were the ONLY TWO PEOPLE VOTED FOR.
For the first time in 31 seasons (!) there was no votes cast for anybody at tribal council. Because of this, they got to re-vote, with everybody voting, and all three of them still immune. So they could only vote for Tasha, Keith or Kimmy. My dream scenario. They were also given a minute to discuss before they had to vote since this is freaking UNPRECEDENTED.
To make this tribal EVEN BETTER the vote was then deadlocked between Tasha and Kimmy. Then the rest of them had to discuss to figure out if they could come to a decision, if they didn’t, Tasha and Kimmy would be immune and Keith would be sent home. It was a group decision to not send Tasha so it came to Keith or Kimmy and Keith almost gave up his spot for Kimmy because she’s a mother, but everyone convinced him not to. So Kimmy because the fourteenth person voted out and eighth in the jury. This was legitimately the craziest tribal of all time.
They jumped right into another immunity (no rewards this late in the game). Wentworth won this immunity (get it girl!).
Wentworth tried the fake idol to fool the other guys to keep Keith safe. It didn’t work, however, and Keith was the fifteenth person voted out and ninth member of the jury.
We then had the final immunity challenge, which was a crazy weird challenge where they had to continuously drop balls through a maze and if one dropped they were out. It was a super stressful challenge, but in the end Jeremy won his first individual immunity, guaranteeing him final three.
As we thought would happen, Wentworth was voted out. Which sucks because Spencer made me really dislike him at the final tribal, and I really wanted them to go to fire.
So the final three were Jeremy, Spencer and Tasha.
It was an individual reward challenge tonight, with the reward being going back to the temples they started their journey at, where there would be food and they would get to sleep there. They really need to start looking at Keith as a threat, because he was the only one who could compete against Joe and he won this reward. He chose Kelly and Spencer to go with him.
Immunity tonight was won through a water challenge, concluding with a puzzle. Spencer won immunity, and after he had solved his puzzle, Tasha was still in the water and needed help to get out, she basically almost drowned because she took in a lot of water.
There was a lot of talks of ‘we’ at tribal tonight, but the ‘we’ that won out voted off Abi, who became the seventh member of the jury, and left everyone else confused.
Next week is the finale!
Today the reward challenge was to be taken away from the rain to a place where they would have a roof over their head and where they would be warm. They split into two teams, the Green team with Wentworth, Kimmy, Fishbach, Jeremy, Keith and the Purple team with Tasha, Abbi, Joe, Spencer and Ciera. They basically played water basketball that turned into wrestling and everyone went so hard, it was amazing. The purple team won.
At the immunity challenge they were given a white and black rock each, and they had to personally choose whether or not to surrender their shot at immunity to get a better shelter for the whole camp. It was a huge decision for everyone. Joe and Keith were the only two not willing to give up their shot at security. So it was JUST Joe and Keith doing the challenge. Which is insane. Once again Joe came close to losing but won immunity in the end. Thank god since everybody was pissed at him.
At tribal it was still divided between Ciera and Fishbach, and Jeremy was worried so he played his immunity idol for FIshbach. So this swayed the vote to make it so Ciera was the tenth person voted out and fourth in the jury. Shocking. Just shocking.
This episode was so good. So good that it made it that much sweeter when we got to the second episode of the night, because I wouldn’t have been able to handle leaving it on that note.
For the first challenge, it was individual reward, and going old school with puzzles throughout the jungle at nighttime. A classic! The reward was a chopper to another island where there would be plenty of food. Fishbach won by literally seconds against Spencer. He chose to bring Tasha and Jeremy with him.
Meanwhile Wentworth found an immunity clue during the challenge, which let her know that the clue was dead centre underneath their fancy new shelter. These immunity clues are the best. Wentworth waits until everyone is gone from the shelter and she makes her move. It was a close call for her but she managed to pull it off.
For immunity it was one of the all feet based challenge, making it difficult for Fishbach who has had the most trouble with his feet in the game. Unfortunately though, Joe finally lost, to Spencer, and for the first time is vulnerable to going home.
At tribal council, Fishbach played his advantage and stole Joe’s vote (and voted in his place). But it wasn’t enough (mostly because he split his split his vote, like, what the eff). In the end Fishbach finally went home, and a panic attack almost happened to me. I did have to fan myself.
Next week somebody gets injured and it might be Joe. It’s all just too much.
For reward, the tribe was split into two groups, the winning one going to the Survivor spa, with showers, food and everything. The tribes were Purple with Tasha, Stephen, Spencer, Joe, Ciera against Green with Wigglesworth, Jeremy, Keith, Wentworth, and Kimmy with Abi not participating. The Purple team won the reward by a heavy lead.
While they were at the spa, Jeremy managed to find ANOTHER clue to an idol. This time, it was that he’d have to get up in the middle of the night when everybody is asleep to find the idol. This was a creepy way to get it because there is no light and you don’t know what’s out there. But he got it. So Jeremy is just stocking up on the idols.
The immunity challenge was a balance one in the water, and it was pouring rain, which was not helpful (and the lightening made it almost unsafe?). At the 8 minute mark, Jeff gave the contestants the option of swimming to a buoy to get an advantage in the game but give up immunity. Spencer and Stephen were the only two to go for it, with Stephen just making it there first. Then acting like he won immunity (ugh).
After STRUGGLING with the last two rounds of the challenge, and really looking like he wouldn’t make, Joe, once again, took home individual immunity. The only person to win it this season.
Everyone was very concerned about splitting up Ciera, Wentworth and Abbi, when they should focus on getting out Jeremy while they can (and while he’s not expecting it). Their only valid point is that Wentworth plays the game smart.
Stephen’s advantage was the ability to steal a vote at tribal council.
This was one of the coldest, wettest episodes to date, and it almost made you chilly just to watch it. It also made me think that the person who got voted off must feel a little relief that at least they can get out of the rain.
In the end, that person was Wigglesworth, becoming the ninth person voted out and third member of the jury.
The teams were the purple team with Wentworth, Kimmy, Wigglesworth, Joe, Ciera and Keith, and Tasha, Savage, Spencer, Jeremy, Fishback and Abi on the green team. While the purple team came close to making a comeback after falling behind, the green team took it in the end.
Stephen was having a real downer of a time after losing the reward, but he also took that time to try to get people on his side to vote Joe out as soon as possible. Unfortunately for him, Savage heard, and was not having any of it (aka, he went running to tell Joe).
In an INSANELY close challenge between Keith and Joe, Joe once again won individual immunity. To the point I actually screamed out loud. Phew.
And damn, that necklace looks goooood on Joe.
There was talk of idols again at tribal, which was interesting because nobody has been searching. Turns out many people don’t think there even are idols, or they’ve been found (which is only true of one idol, which Wentworth has). That’s a very different tone than previous seasons.
And on that note, Wentworth played hers (always better to do that than risk it when you’re at the bottom). It SHOCKED the whole group, which is an awesome moment to witness.
It was a good thing she did play it because ALL the votes went to Wentworth except for the two that went to Savage, making him the eighth person voted out and second member of the jury. INSANE. INSANE!!!!!!!! Nobody saw that one coming.
Now Joe might be slightly screwed because Savage was his ride or die in the game.
The look on Wentworth’s face was classic, and everybody’s face for that matter. Just wow. This. This is what Survivor is about.
While they were stuck in a shelter, Fishback decided to serenade everyone with a poem. It was fucking magical.
As Joe describes the new individual immunity: “It’s fancy!”
The first II challenge was a balance based one, and it’s a good thing Joe thinks the necklace is beautiful because he won it (!). I can’t be impartial towards Joe. I just love him so much.
The voting this week was a straight up mess with votes just thrown ALL OVER THE PLACE. FOUR people were voted for. FOUR. In the end it was Kass that was voted off and became the first member of the jury(!), because merge = jury, even this early on.
We hate Chaos Kass so we are not sad about this. And she makes a better jury member than she does a player.
Their first reward challenge for the new tribes was a picnic delivered to their camps. Ta Keo won this one, although it was super close.
For the immunity challenge we got our first gross eating challenge of the season. And it was a good one. This time Bayon won and sent Ta Keo to tribal council.
Ta Keo blindsided themselves and sent Woo home. Shockingly Cass did not vote for Spencer as planned (despite her hatred towards him), and Woo left. A sad day for all. Next week is merge week!
PS. Terry's son ended up needing a heart transplant, which he got and is now fine.
The winner was Ta Keo, followed by Angkor with the tarp, and Bayon getting nothing.
Wu told a personal story to, you know, relate as a human being, meanwhile Abi was having nothing to do with it and completely didn’t understand it.
Angkor won immunity in a bullshit way since Bayon accidentally hit one of their targets in a challenge. So basically they did the least amount of work. But regardless, it’s the first win for them for immunity. Ta Keo also won immunity, which sent Bayon to tribal.
In a complete blindside, Bayon sent Monica home. I mean, blindside for her, and even to us at home as they only showed people voting for Spencer of Kelly Wiggles. The look on Monica’s face is literally why we watch this show.
For their immunity challenge the teams had to do one of the classic blindfold challenges where only one person as in charge of helping everyone guide their way. Joe basically saved Ta Keo all by himself - just going and grabbing pieces with no help. Everybody got very injured, which was painful yet entertaining to watch.
Despite having no food in their systems, Bayon won the first immunity trophy, coming back from behind. Ta Keo also won immunity, sending Angkor back to tribal for the second time in a row. You know that tribe that had the most food in their systems and should have physically been able to handle it? Yeah, that one.
In the end it came down to Jeff and Woo, but Jeff was the one who ended up going home.
The Angkor tribe had serious work to do, and since two of them came from one tribe and four came from the other, they also had to work on new alliances.
Meanwhile, alliances had to switch on other teams as well, as always happens with a switch-up.
The challenge tonight was simply for immunity (for 2 of the teams).
Ta Keo finally won immunity (I think it’s all Joe, who is now over there). Bayon also won immunity, leaving Angkor to head to tribal for the first time.
Before they could head over there, however, Tasha noticed that Jeff and Wigglesworth (who is on Bayon) were talking. The quickly got over it, but it looks like a lot got cut out from that part of the show.
In the end Peih-Gee was voted out, seemingly out of nowhere
