As reported on Variety, Nielsen estimates that the 90-minute debut became the Number 1-rated cable series launch on record with 10.1 million viewers. That's 6.3 million adults 18-49, passing the previous demo record of AMC's other show Better Call Saul. AMC now has three of the top five cable launches of all time (with Walking Dead ranking fifth).
In both total viewers and those 18-49, Sunday's premiere out-rated all 22 episodes from the first two seasons of The Walking Dead. Fear will air six episodes in its first season (leading into the season six premiere of The Walking Dead on October 11). It was given a straight-to-series, two season order by AMC earlier this year. Season two is slated for 2016.

A 21-year-old man was found dead in the swimming pool of Demi Moore Saturday morning.
Moore and her family were not present at the time of the incident. A Neighbour told TMZ that the house has been the place of numerous parties, "every day, day and night". There were apparently five people in the house at the time of the incident. Police believe the man slipped into the pool and could not swim. According to TMZ, Moore's caretaker was holding the party. They also reported that the caretaker and the others went out at some point, leaving the victim behind, and they found him at the bottom of the pool when they returned.

The newsletter, which she is launching with her Girls showrunner Jenni Konner will launch in September and feature a wide-array of topics, from politics, to feminism, and face masks. Honestly, it sounds like just about any other newsletter you could subscribe to from women's sites and publications right now. It feels a little 'privileged rich girl doesn't have enough to do'. Granted, here I am writing this on an entertainment site (because there aren't enough of those). This is just a note to Dunham that what she's doing isn't revolutionary and certainly isn't unique. It also maybe didn't need a two-month advance notice. And one last thing - for a newsletter that focuses strongly on a female perspective why is the CEO a male? (Benajmin Cooley, Konner's ex-husband and a producer on Girls will be the CEO and the only man of the operation). Just wondering.
Today Serena Williams won Wimbledon for the sixth time (aka her 21st major title). She's one of, if not the, most accomplished athlete living.
This is the second time she's completed the "Serena Slam" (winning four straight majors). If she wins the US Open, she will be the first player since Steffi Graf (in 1988) to complete the calendar year grand-slam. Yet, all of that is not enough to stop the internet from talking about what they think is the most important thing: her body. Luckily, we have J.K. Rowling there to shut them down (perfectly), so that Serena can focus on celebrating this momentous occasion. #whoruntheworld
