Lena Dunham would like to introduce you to Lenny.
The newsletter, which she is launching with her Girls showrunner Jenni Konner will launch in September and feature a wide-array of topics, from politics, to feminism, and face masks.
Honestly, it sounds like just about any other newsletter you could subscribe to from women's sites and publications right now. It feels a little 'privileged rich girl doesn't have enough to do'. Granted, here I am writing this on an entertainment site (because there aren't enough of those).
This is just a note to Dunham that what she's doing isn't revolutionary and certainly isn't unique. It also maybe didn't need a two-month advance notice.
And one last thing - for a newsletter that focuses strongly on a female perspective why is the CEO a male? (Benajmin Cooley, Konner's ex-husband and a producer on Girls will be the CEO and the only man of the operation). Just wondering.
